Guiyang participates in China-Japan-ROK International Friendship City Exchange Conference

A delegation from Guiyang recently participated in the 26th China-Japan-ROK International Friendship City Exchange Conference, which was held on Oct 16 in Yancheng, Jiangsu province.

More than 400 local government representatives from China, Japan, and South Korea, as well as guests from economic and trade institutions, trade unions, and cultural and tourism organizations, attended the event.

The Guiyang delegation set up a themed exhibition booth to demonstrate the unique charm of "Cool Guiyang" through intangible cultural heritage creations such as Miao embroidery and batik, while also handing out tourism brochures, attracting many Japanese and South Korean attendees.

Through the conference, the Guiyang delegation had friendly exchanges with multiple international representatives, including Lee Heesup, secretary general of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, Watanabe Ryugo, mayor of Sado City, Japan, and Takahama Atusmi, vice-chairman of the Japan-China Friendship Association in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan.

The delegation also presented the economic and social development of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area.

All parties discussed the possibility of future cooperation in culture and tourism, ecological industries, and other fields, and reached a preliminary agreement, laying a foundation for long-term cooperative relationships.

The trilateral exchange conference is an important channel for local governments of the three countries to deepen friendship and share development experience. Guiyang will expand the friendly communication network in East Asia, creating new opportunities for the city's high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
