Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office leads delegation to Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning

To better use foreign affairs resources to link local businesses and schools to international partners, and to take concrete actions in support of the high-level opening-up of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, a delegation led by Liu Song, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director of Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, paid an official visit to the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning on July 9.

The delegation was joined by representatives from Guizhou College of Electronic Science and Technology, Guizhou Jinfeng Cable Co, and Guizhou Shuode Information Technology Service Co.

During the symposium with the consulate general, Liu underscored that Guiyang has consistently attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Malaysia, stressing that this visit aims to advance practical cooperation between the two sides in economic and trade investment, educational exchanges, and cultural engagement.

Representatives from the three participating institutions – the college and the two enterprises – delivered respective presentations.

Consul General Ahmad Phadil Ismail extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He spoke highly of Guiyang's efforts to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Malaysia across trade, education, and other sectors, offering detailed and constructive responses to the delegation's proposals and suggestions and reaffirming the consulate general's role in supporting and facilitating tangible outcomes.
