The press conference for the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026 (Big Data Expo 2026) was held in Beijing on July 28. At the event, it was announced that this year's expo will take place from Aug 28 to 30 in Guiyang, Guizhou province.

Cutting-edge achievements to debut

The expo will feature exhibition zones spanning 60,000 square meters, organized around five key themes: computing infrastructure, data supply, model-driven applications, security guarantee, and intelligent experiences.

More than 300 enterprises will participate, with dedicated pavilions for the guest province of honor, integrated culture-tourism-sports-commerce-technology displays, and international data exchange. A highlight will be China's first AI large language model marketplace specifically designed to support tech innovators operating as one-person companies.

Several companies will debut their latest technological achievements, including smart factories, computing infrastructure, and security agents. Leading enterprises and industry associations will release over 40 new results across areas such as computing power and electricity collaboration, data circulation, and generative artificial intelligence.

High-level dialogues to build consensus

The expo will host more than 20 industry exchange events centered on five main tracks – data industry development, high-quality datasets and data annotation, data infrastructure and standardization, deepening international cooperation in the digital economy, and scenario-driven data value release.

During the expo, the National Data Administration will release over 20 important outcomes, including institutional regulations, industry standards, and practical case studies. Seven industry innovation competitions will also take place, spanning areas such as data factor applications and large language model innovation.

Supply-demand matching to boost industry

This year's expo adheres to the principle of "promoting trade and industry through exhibitions". An "industry ecosystem corridor" will serve as a matching hub, connecting with leading enterprises like Huawei to host over 10 industry ecosystem events, engaging with more than 100 high-growth companies for supply-demand matchmaking, linking four domestic specialized industrial parks, and bringing together over 30 overseas enterprises for multiple cross-border matchmaking sessions.

Since its inception in 2015, the Big Data Expo has evolved through continuous cultivation into a key domestic and international platform for matching supply and demand around innovative solutions in the digital economy, a vital exchange hub in the data sector, and an active venue for transforming technological innovations of various market entities into tangible value.
