The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026 (Big Data Expo 2026), hosted by the National Data Administration and organized by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, will be held in Guiyang, Guizhou, from Aug 28 to 30. On the opening evening, the Data Night of the Big Data Expo 2026 will take place.

Guided by the organizing committee of the Big Data Expo and co‑hosted by People's Daily Online and the Guizhou Big Data Industry Group, the Data Night is a signature event of the Big Data Expo.

In 2025, the event featured diverse formats including keynote speeches, cross-sector dialogues, cutting-edge scenario demonstrations, and integration of technology and culture, which promoted industrial cooperation, showcased innovative application outcomes, and earned broad recognition and high praise.

The organizers of this year's event have adopted a dual-venue setup comprising both an inner hall and an outer space, balancing a relaxing and open networking atmosphere with intellectual exchanges. The event has been upgraded in terms of scale, style, and format, aiming to establish itself as the second main venue of the Big Data Expo.

The outer space will feature an immersive experiential zone integrating embodied intelligence with cultural tourism. On-site installations will include an embodied-intelligence interactive exhibition covering five dimensions – vision, hearing, smell, touch, and motion – allowing guests to experience cutting-edge AI interaction technologies up close. Concurrently, a "Guiyang Five Exquisites" city-characteristic experience zone will be presented, showcasing Guiyang's calling card.

National-level intangible cultural heritage performances – including Bayin Zuochang (Eight-Tone Sitting Singing), a Bouyei ethnic band in which members play eight different instruments while singing, and artistic shows will be staged, combining frontier digital technologies with local culture.

The event will also feature a themed immersive interactive scene titled "Hongpiaodai + Huangxiaoxi Chiwanfan" (a playful reference to Guizhou's iconic tourism attractions), further enriching the digital experience formats and enhancing the interactive atmosphere on site.

The inner hall activities will focus on cutting-edge academic discussions and industrial cooperation matchmaking.

Over 300 representatives from government, industry, academia, research, and application sectors will gather at the venue to jointly assess new trends in industrial development and open up new channels for collaboration. Their efforts will help the industry build consensus, pool innovative strength, and implement high-quality projects, thereby empowering and enhancing the deep integration of the digital and real economies and driving high-quality development.
