The main port area of Guiyang International Land Port achieved a single-day loading volume of 200 vehicles on Sept 16, setting a new record since it opened.
This represents a 47 percent increase over the previous peak before July this year, marking a leapfrog improvement in the port area's single-day operational capacity. It is also the fifth time this year the port area has broken its single-day loading record.
Since July this year, Guiyang International Land Port has achieved consecutive breakthroughs on July 15, July 25, July 31, Sept 3, and Sept 16, through measures such as precisely coordinating cargo source organization, increasing the frequency of freight train operations, and optimizing production and operational processes. It marked the port area's continuous improvement and upgrading of cargo handling capacity.
Faced with pressure on on-site scheduling and safety control from continuously rising operational volumes, Guiyang International Land Port has taken multiple measures to strengthen operational support.
The port has proactively coordinated with railway authorities, Guiyang Free Trade Zone, and partner clients to track cargo arrival and departure dynamics in real time.
It has also implemented scientifically designed container slot layouts, performed regular maintenance and inspections of special equipment, flexibly adjusted loading and unloading manpower based on operational requirements, optimized operational control standards for critical links, strictly maintained safety production principles, and enhanced overall operational efficiency.
Guiyang International Land Port will continue to manage safety well, optimize production organization, improve loading and unloading efficiency, fully ensure the high-quality operation of freight trains, activate the momentum of an inland logistics hub, and provide solid support for striving to build a "gateway" for the province's new height of inland open economy.
